Not Home Yet

October 2009

Elena will be awake soon. She came so close, I don't know what I would have done if....it doesn't matter now, she's going to be ok, we're all going to be ok. Except for Lazarevic and Flynn of course. They, along with the rest of Shambhala won't be heard from again. I'd like to say that it's a shame, that we could have worked it out, but I saw Lazarevic's eyes after he ate that blue resin. It was madness, nothing human remained. Schaeffer was right after all, we had to destroy the stone, and so we had to destroy the city. This is going to turn out to be the least profitable job in history. But Elena is alive, and that's worth all the treasure I've ever come across. Chloe too, after finally deciding to join with us. Though God only knows where she is now, probably tricking another old ex into risking his life for her. She's awfully good at it. The village is recovering from the attack too. It's taken me awhile but I think I'm finally beginning to understand the appeal of this place. It's quiet, and there's an ancientness to it that makes time seem kind of irrelevant. Don't get me wrong, the first place I'm taking Elena is to the beach for some cocktails and sleeping without thirty yak skin blankets. But I think I'll be back. For one thing, I saw lot's of other unexplored caves while I was scaling these cliffs.....
